These days are in turmoil the lists and notes for my next trip to London.
I’m thrilled at the idea to go there, every time I go there I catch so many inspirations, as if London were a mirror of all the new trends of restaurants, shops, fashion, styles.
And I can’t wait to dive in search of new trends, I draw the list of all the places to visit, including these fantastic winter rooftop.
- Forest on the roof
Inspired by a winter forest, this pop-up rooftop bar set up in a few days from Des McDonald Consulting is the top floor of Selfridge on Oxforf Street. Is everything you could want from a rooftop winter, at least in appearance: lots of wood and elements reminiscent of a mountain home, hairy pillows, blankets to cover, lights and small wooden houses for a private dinner, so lovely!
2. Once upon a Wigwam
A house “in the tree” on the rooftop of the Queen of Hoxton inspired by the tales of the Brothers Grimm. It seems to get lost in a magic forest of moss, stools made of logs covered, old books and glass bells on the tables to hold small items in the form of animal. This type of setting is usable up to March 2016 and I can’t wait to see it live.
3. The Churchill Bar & Terrace
Inspired by the snowy landscapes of The Chronicles of Narnia, with white to act as a master in the fur of which are covered in the sessions, in the dry branches arranged around the perimeter of the room, mixed with the glass tables and lanterns, with candles on. In addition to the magical environment, the selection of cocktails and drinks to warm from winter London, all presented with style.
4. Sushisamba
On the 38th floor of the Heron Tower in Moorgate is this terrace where a large sculpture in the shape of golden tree is king. Sushi specialties which can be enjoyed inside also.
5. Rumpus Room at the Mondrian Hotel
The bar and lounge on the top floor of Mondrian Hotel inspired by the social phenomenon called Bright Young Things, a group of young aristocrats bohemians and lovers of the good life in London of the ’20s. London views and leather sofas in shades of red and purple.
